A major project in 2005 reduced the amount of waste sent to landfill by 80%.

A recent environmental audit by an independent organisation found that SPC was maximising its potential to recycle, and no further recommendations were proposed

• SPC will endeavour to develop new and technically improved processes to limit the consumption of resources.
• SPC will wherever possible design products which are recyclable.
• SPC will wherever possible use packaging materials and systems which are reusable and/or recyclable.
